In the world of golf, “ranking points” represent a player’s performance and serve as the foundation for player rankings. They also determine eligibility for higher-level tournaments. For example, the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking), the JGS (Junior Golf Scoreboard) in the U.S., and the Rolex AJGA Rankings are all key international systems used as qualification criteria in many major tournaments.
Therefore, for golfers, achieving strong results in tournaments and earning these international ranking points is of great significance in shaping their golfing careers. Even among professional players, the OWGR (Official World Golf Ranking) for men and the Rolex Ranking for women are crucial standards for qualifying for the Asian Games, the Olympics, and major professional tours.
The Future Star Series has applied for inclusion in both the WAGR and JGS ranking systems. After each tournament, the organizing committee reports the results to ensure players receive the appropriate ranking points.
Outstanding players from the Future Star Series may also be recommended to participate in the C.T. Pan AJGA-IPS International Series. The IPS events are part of an international circuit that can open the door to AJGA tournaments. These opportunities are valuable not only for competitive experience but also as a strong advantage when applying to U.S. colleges and universities.
Additionally, the Future Star Series Ranking System (FSS Ranking) is built upon international ranking frameworks. The accumulated points from each tournament are compiled into an annual ranking that helps players understand their current standing. It also serves as a key reference for sponsorship opportunities and qualification for higher-level Future Star events.
The Future Star Series values the connection between various ranking systems as part of helping young players build milestones throughout their golf journeys. It provides structured stages of development, creating more opportunities for players to pursue their chosen paths—whether that means becoming professional golfers on international tours, competing on the Taiwan Tour, or using golf as a stepping stone to study abroad in the United States or other countries.
Golf is more than a sport—it is a profession for some and an academic advantage for students seeking university admissions. The Future Star Golf Association serves as a bridge, helping young golfers explore diverse pathways toward realizing their ideal futures.
Therefore, when players participate in golf tournaments, beyond focusing on their on-site results and rankings, they are encouraged to check the event’s recognition for international ranking points as well as the Future Star FSS Ranking points. This enables them to accumulate more opportunities and confidently take on international challenges.
